Synopsis

Once upon a time, there was a country known as Märchenland where fairy tales mingled together. However, the Evil Emperor Pierrot of the Bad End Kingdom has invaded the country and sealed away its Queen. In order for the Queen to be revived, the Cure Décor, tokens of happiness, must be gathered. To gather them, the fairy Candy came to Earth to search for the next Pretty Cures. It's there that Candy meets Miyuki Hoshizora and the two of them decide to gather the Cure Décor together.[1]

Characters

Pretty Cures

Miyuki Hoshizora (星空みゆき Hoshizora Miyuki?) / Cure Happy (キュアハッピー Kyua Happī?)
Voiced by: Aoi Yūki
A fourteen year old girl with an interest in books and fairy tales who transfers to Nanairogaoka Middle School. Like many of the lead Cures before her, Miyuki is cheery and optimistic, but also something of a klutz. Her catchphrase is "Ultra Happy!". As Cure Happy, counterpart of Cure Beauty, her dark magenta hair becomes lighter in shade and her pigtails grow longer. She can manipulate light energy in this form.
She introduces herself as "Twinkling, shining, light of the future! The PreCure with the power of holy light, Cure Happy!" Kirakira kagayaku mirai no hikari! Seinaru hikari no chikara o motsu Purikyua, Kyua Happī!?)
Akane Hino (日野あかね Hino Akane?) / Cure Sunny (キュアサニー Kyua Sanī?)
Voiced by: Kana Ueda
A girl from Osaka whose parents run an okonomiyaki shop and is a member of the school's volleyball team. Akane may be a jokester, but when she has a goal set, she can be very passionate about achieving it. As Cure Sunny, counterpart of Cure March, her red hair brightens to orange, and grows longer before tying into a bun. She can manipulate fire in this form.
She introduces herself as "The Sun, sun sun, hot-blooded power! The PreCure with the power of fire, Cure Sunny!" Taiyou sansan nekketsu pawaa! Honō no chikara o motsu Purikyua, Kyua Sanī!?)
Yayoi Kise (黄瀬やよい Kise Yayoi?) / Cure Peace (キュアピース Kyua Pīsu?)
Voiced by: Sakura Nogawa
A girl who is in the Homemaking Club and aspires to be a Mangaka. Though timid on the outside, shy about her work, and a crybaby, Yayoi is very loyal, diligent, and headstrong once she opens up. As Cure Peace, her blonde hair brightens and is tied into a ponytail. She has no counterpart, therefore her costume is more unique than the others. She can manipulate electricity in this form.
She introduces herself as "Sparkling, glittering, rock-paper-scissors♪ The PreCure with the power of lightning, Cure Peace!" Pikapika pikarin jankenpon♪ Ikazuchi no chikara o motsu Purikyua, Kyua Pīsu!?)
Nao Midorikawa (緑川なお Midorikawa Nao?) / Cure March (キュアマーチ Kyua Māchi?)
Voiced by: Kaori Shimizu
A tomboyish girl from a family with many brothers who is a member of the school's soccer team. Nao is straightforward and reliable with a strong sense of justice, though she does get frustrated when things don't go according to plan. As Cure March, counterpart of Cure Sunny, her dark green hair tints to a mint shade and grows longer. She can manipulate wind in this form.
She introduces herself as "Courageous, piercing cold, a clean-cut match! The PreCure with the power of wind, Cure March!" Yuuki rinrin chokyū shobū! Kaze no chikara o motsu Purikyua, Kyua Māchi!?)
Reika Aoki (青木れいか Aoki Reika?) / Cure Beauty (キュアビューティ Kyua Byūti?)
Voiced by: Satsuki Yukino
The student council vice president and a member of the Archery club. Reika is generally elegant and kind-hearted, but has a frightening temper once her patience reaches her limit. Her father is a painter whilst her mother practices aikido and her elder brother practises judo. As Cure Beauty, counterpart of Cure Happy, her dark blue hair becomes a lighter blue and grows longer, and is pulled back by the tiara she wears. She can manipulate ice in this form.
She introduces herself as "Snowing, falling and gathering, a noble heart! The PreCure with the power of water and ice, Cure Beauty!" Mizu kōri no chikara o motsu Purikyua, Kyua Byūti!?)
